Creature Feature continues as we discover another monster that is lurking, threatening to destroy your heart. What makes this creature so destructive is that it consumes constantly. The more it consumes, the more it grows – the bigger it gets, the more it takes to satisfy the appetite that just can’t be satisfied. Of all the monsters we have looked at, this one is the most difficult to deal with because it tends to hide itself so well and ooze into other, less noticeable areas of our life. Greed is the All Consuming Blob and in this study, we take it on – as Creature Feature continues.Learn More
In our Creature Feature series we have discovered that “Anger says – you owe me” – So how do we get rid of it forever?
We discovered that guilt is busted when we develop the habit of responsibility…it should come as no surprise that anger melts away when we develop another habit. Today as we battle the Phantom of MADness (anger) we unpack how to make that habit a reality in our lives!
This week we discover a new creature that lurks within the heart of each of us. It hides in the shadows and then suddenly emerges to unleash its fury at anyone and anything close to it. Like a Phantom of MADness, Anger is a universal human experience. It is an intense emotional reaction that may express itself through frustration, irritability, annoyance, impatience, blowing of steam, shouting, intimidating, insensitivity, fretting, quitting, back-biting, and depression. Left unchecked, this creature will rob you of the joy of living, destroy your world and the lives of others.Learn More
In our Creature Feature series we are looking at the monsters that threaten to ruin and destroy our lives. We found out last week they are creatures that lurk within our hearts that must be dealt with so we can become the best version of ourselves. “Guilt” was called a Gorilla in our first session. Guilt is best described as living with an attitude of “I owe you.” As we studied, we exposed guilt to the light and found out that our debts have been paid by Jesus. In this follow up, we take another step and in Gorilla Buster find out how to make sure the gorilla of guilt, goes away and stays away… forever.
