I Am Legend

I Am Legend is an interesting film that weaves together a frightening story. Here is the storyline in a nutshell. After a cancer cure mutates into a plague, Dr. Robert Neville finds himself the only person left in New York City, and perhaps in the entire world. Something in his blood has granted him immunity from the disease that turns people into what appears to be sub-human, aggressive, violent killers. Neville's only protection is his fortified bunker, and the sunlight -- which drives back the hordes until nightfall. Will Dr. Neville be able to craft a cure from his own blood before those plagued by disease develop the ability to walk abroad in the day? What does it cost to save humanity? Is Neville willing to pay? I Am Legend, starring Will Smith, is one of the most thought-provoking films released during the past year. This morning in Celebration Worship we will illustrate some thought provoking moments from this motion picture. Be warned, the film is an intense bit of storytelling.
