Caffeinated Living: Fearing whatever comes next

Wouldn't it be great if we could order up life the way we order coffee at our favorite coffee shop?We could mix and match the ingredients of our life into just the right blend. Our future would be settled, we could be warm and cozy, and the coffee temperature of our life wouldn't be too hot or too cold...it would be just right! Sounds good doesn't it? However we all know life doesn't work that way. We don't get too much say in the way things unfold (although we spend a lot of our energy trying to control our lives) and sometimes life goes a bit of track. Changes come and catch us unprepared and before we know it we are living life in real time and we feel like it is way out of control. We are fearful of what might happen next and we wonder where God is in the midst of it all.
