Stranger Things has reminded us that we live in a world that is Upside Down. If we are going to turn the Upside Down upside down – which actually makes it right side up again – then we have to understand how to do it. In Acts 17, we discover how to speak into an upside down culture in ways that open the conversation to talking about Jesus. This CORE series, which enhances our Celebration Worship series, called Stranger Things, helps us add depth to how we approach the world around us.

We live in a world that can easily be described as “upside down.” There are times that we all struggle with trying to understand what is happening around us. How is it possible to process what seems to be swirling out of control? Is there a way that we can turn the “upside down” upside down? On this Easter, together we explore some of the stranger things people wrestle with in the Easter story and begin to understand how Jesus is the way to make the world right.

A lifehack is a strategy or technique that is used to make life better. We use them all the time, we may not call them lifehacks, but they are real. Often these lifehacks are counter-intuitive… in other words, on the surface they seem silly or even a bit impractical or outlandish – but they work. Sometimes as we read the Bible, we think, that sounds good but I just can’t do that – but when we try it, it works. In this Lifehack series, we take some bold strides to follow the example that Jesus gives us and along the way, make our lives better.

We conclude our Lifehack series on the Palm Sunday with a gift that God gives to each of us. Deeper than happiness, which is what everyone seems to always be chasing, Jesus gives us something far richer – the gift of joy. It did not come cheap, the price was high, but He thinks you are worth it. So let’s hack in and discover joy.
