Today, we continue our series called “The Leap,” and our second message is titled “Flames and Tightropes.” Last week we ‘revved the engines on faith’ and began to explore the importance of taking a leap of faith. This week, we start getting into the specifics of what to expect and what a leap of faith can look like. Each week we have featured a daredevil as a way to illustrate some faith lessons. Last week it was Evel Knievel and we learned that faith might seem crazy to some, until you stick the landing. This week we discover that there is always an element of risk involved and we slide out onto the high wire with Nik Wallenda. It will be fun, life changing, and practical – let’s get started!

Ever heard a hymn title so strange you had to know the story? Join Jeff Dixon on “Hit in the Head with a Hymn Book” as he unravels the mystery behind “Beulah Land”—a song he once thought was about a woman named Beulah!
Discover the incredible journey of this hymn, from its author—a Mayflower descendant, Civil War veteran, and riverboat pilot—to its biblical roots in the book of Isaiah. Learn how the Hebrew word for “married” became a powerful metaphor for Heaven, and why writing it brought its creator, Edgar Stites, to his knees in tears.
It’s a story of faith so profound, we just had to share it… though you’ll want to stick around to see what happens when we try to perform it!

by Church @ 434 | Jul 25, 2025 | American Miracle
Have you ever wondered why the United States, a global superpower, is seemingly absent from biblical end-times prophecy? In this episode of The American Miracle, Jeff Dixon confronts a sobering and controversial theory that many prophecy experts discuss in hushed tones—one he admits he doesn’t like to consider.
The theory suggests America’s prophetic silence is due to a future catastrophic event: a foreign invasion or devastating attack that cripples our nation and removes it from the world stage before the Tribulation. We explore the geopolitical tensions, the threat of nuclear weapons in the hands of rogue nations, and the very real possibility of an attack that could reduce the U.S. to a second-rate power overnight.
Is this dark path our destiny? Or does America’s strength, rooted in its founding principles, still serve a sacred purpose today? Join the discussion on this stark warning and the responsibility we hold as a beacon of freedom to the world.

We started with a simple question: “What is the world’s most dangerous sport?” The answer involves BASE jumping, triathlons, and a surprising look at competitive cheerleading. But the real takeaway isn’t about avoiding physical danger—it’s about embracing spiritual risk.
This video uses the world of sports as a powerful metaphor for the Christian life. You are not called to be reckless, like someone jumping off a building. But you are called to be a risk-taker. Join “Ask Jeff” as we explore why living a life of faith may be the most dangerous—and most rewarding—endeavor of all.
As Jeff says, “Don’t be safe. Take a risk.”
