This is a single episode series that expands on our worship series, I Have Attitude.
This is a single episode series that expands on our worship series, I Have Attitude.
In our I have Attitude series we have been exploring the importance of having a thankful heart and an attitude of gratitude.
In this study we see Jesus, helping us to understand how thanking can change our thinking…and why that matters if we are ever going to be the people we were created to be.
Do you have attitude? Hopefully so – however the attitude you have is important. The one we are talking about in this series is the attitude of gratitude. It is essential for a deep, rich, and meaningful life. The enemy of gratitude is grumbling. Grumbling and complaining undermine the grace of God and poison the heart. Ingratitude begins in small ways and is often masked by other emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, making the spirit of ungratefulness a challenge to identify. If left unchecked, it can have a costly price.
Our new series – I Have Attitude begins with a look back into the Old Testament where we discover an attitude, what happens because of it, and why it is important. For the sake of our conversation – we will call it The First Attitude.
It is an attitude that needs to define our lives. If we can live it out, we have lives with deeper and richer meaning – the attitude is Gratitude and the Now What for this morning may be the most revolutionary idea you have ever tried.
We have been studying and thinking about FIRE in this series. Every single time that God sent fire from Heaven, something important was going on. We have been learning the important lessons of these moment of “fire” and we conclude this study with a look at another amazing moment tucked away in God’s Word. Today we are reminded of the nature of fire and why it is important to understand. If we truly desire for God’s Holy Fire to be “on” us – then we need to know what to expect. In a burning heart – there is an unmistakable fire….
The Bible describes King David as a man after God’s own heart. David really was a man who loved God. Yet, as most know, he was certainly less than perfect.
Today our FIRE series continues and reminds us of some challenges we need to avoid to keep our connection to God healthy. Any of these can extinguish the burning love we are to have for the Father
So get ready to face the Fire in this study
