Together we are trying to make a dent in the universe. We want our lives to matter, we want them to have an impact, and we want to leave a legacy that lasts into eternity. The great news is that we are not only supposed to do that, we are called by God to do that. If God calls us to do something then He gives us what we need to get it done. Today, we take a realistic look at how we share the things we know about God with others. In a world where the news so often seems bad – wouldn’t it be great if we could be the people to share a little good news for a change? We can – you can – and as you do – you will dent the universe.

We are learning and striving to make a dent in the universe… as individuals and as a ministry. The need is greater than ever for people to step up and touch and change the world with the love of Jesus.. However, the task of being a person who can change the world can be overwhelming, because – well – after all, who said that changing the world would be easy? Although it doesn’t get easier we get better at it and today we remind you of some essential things that you have to know to get it right. This is Dent Making for Dummies … not because you are a dummy, but you never know who might be sitting next to you 🙂

We are looking how to make a difference in the world we live in. Our purpose is not just to do good, but to do Godly good… if we do, then we will be making a dent in the universe. One of the hardest things to do is when we make the decision to come out of hiding and begin actively seeking how to connect, impact, bless, and nudge others toward Jesus. But if we are going to make a dent, we have to come face to face with the way we see things and then see them differently than others.

Today we launch into a brand new series. A phrase that we often say here at The Church @ 434 is that you are called to touch and change the world with the love of Jesus. It is more than a phrase, it is our mission statement. When we take that seriously we are not only being obedient, we are fulfilling our purpose, and we are making the world a different place because of that. Today is the first in a series of studies that are real, practical, and informative if you desire to live a life that makes an impact. The Church @ 434 is on a mission – and we are changing the world.

Today we wrap up The Return series with a study entitled The Celebration. Each week in this study we have been on a quest to discover some life lessons from one of the great comeback stories in all of the Bible. Today we see how the story ends…it ends with a celebration. In our lives there are ways to celebrate that bring honor to God and as we have found out, those details matter. This is a day where we get to put the way we celebrate under the microscope and make sure we are pleasing God as The Return is complete and we turn toward a new beginning.
