So much to do, so little time. With Christmas right around the corner, there seems to be more to do than you have time to accomplish. So, most people will put together their “To-Do List” because we don’t want to miss anything important. Believe it or not, there was a to-do list the very first Christmas and as we explore it, we find out some things we need to remember.
It is that time of year… yes, it is Christmas time but what we are referring to is the time of year where you begin to keep a lot of lists to keep you organized, on track, and ready for all that you need to accomplish. This week we look at a list that we all have – The Wish List. This list is loaded with what we really want and need during the Christmas season.
It is the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas is loaded with moments and memories that can change your life forever. The struggle can be how to get it all – or find room to fit – it all in. There is so much to do but so little time. So, we keep lists… they keep us “on task – on purpose – and on time.”
In this series we take a look at the lists of Christmas and we begin the series with what is perhaps the best known, often talked about, and maybe even worried about list of Christmas. The Naughty and Nice List – so get ready as we begin our Christmas celebration today.
It is Thanksgiving weekend. Hopefully this season has given you an opportunity to give thanks for all that God has done, is doing, and will be doing in your life. This morning we explore some reasons that we all have to be thankful. These gifts should make our lives fuller – inflate them if you will and give us a sense of excitement as we get ready to move into the Christmas season.
We have been listening to God, or at least trying to hear Him.
