Mission control is essential for the success of any space mission. In the same way, unity and coordination within the community of faith are crucial. This study will focus on the importance of each member’s role in the church and how working together can achieve great things. Vision becomes reality when together we chase the task that God has placed before us. We have a vision, we have a mission, and God is in control.
Welcome to SURGE DAY, it is a day where we celebrate the birthday of The Church @ 434. This year, SURGE DAY is even more special because of all the things that God has been doing on this ministry. We are poised to take some bold and daring steps into the future God has for us. Our current series, Tomorrow – Expanding our Horizons is getting us ready for those steps. Our theme for this day is LAUNCH and we go to the Launch Pad for worship this morning. In space exploration, a strong, secure launch pad is crucial; without it, no rocket could ever take off safely. Similarly, in our spiritual lives, the foundation we build upon determines how far we can go in our walk with God. Once the mission and vision is in place, then the countdown is officially started – next stop – The Launch Pad!
Welcome to a new series (Tomorrow – Expanding our Horizons) and we begin it with “The Final Frontier”. Together we find out that our need for understanding, embracing, and acting on the vision God has placed before us. Just like astronauts preparing for a mission, we need to be clear, committed, and patient. Together, we’ll reach for the stars and accomplish the incredible plans God has for our lives as individuals and us as The Church @ 434!
Today we wrap up our Summer series called – Ducks in a Row. Using the Bible and some rubber ducks we have illustrated how we must learn to get our ducks in a row to effectively and successfully follow Jesus. In today’s Duck-tastic series conclusion, we dive into Matthew 28:19-20 as we line up our lives (get in a row) with God’s mission for us. Get ready to take flight and quack with a purpose for the Kingdom of God!
Today we continue our Ducks in a Row series. Hopefully you have been with us each week on this adventure. We are getting quite a collection of unique ducks that really do line up and help us as we strive to be who we were created to be. We have found the Trust Duck, which is the foundation of what we are doing. There has been the addition of the Prayer Duck, that connects us to the Father in powerful ways, and then last week we added the Speedy Duck – which reminds us of the importance and urgency of loving and encouraging one another. Today we “quack” open the Word of God into the Psalms and learn how to take advantage of the “feathered fortress” God has given us. It will be a great day as once again – we get our ducks in a row!
