There is an old aphorism, the elephant in the room that refers to an obvious truth that everybody ignores.
We are in a series where we are talking about the stuff that no one really likes to talk about. However, today is Easter – One of the Easter Elephants is that many of you think you know what we are going to say today….but you don’t….don’t get confused – this is an Easter study…but it is not the study you might have expected…

We are traveling through the herd of elephants talking about the elephants in the room that sometimes people are afraid to really talk about. Today we talk about the Chaotic Creation Elephant.
The Bible is clear about how creation happens, the chaos occurs when people are pushed into conversations where doubts are brought up. As a result, people of faith – are made to feel like they are somehow less reasonable, rational, and sane.
That is the elephant we go looking for today – and who knows, once you get a better view of it, it might not be so big and overwhelming.

This is THAT series where we are talking about elephants in the room. You know – those things that we all know are there and no one wants to talk about! This week, we go on safari to find an elephant that might be painful to talk about – this is the Righteous Religious Elephant. They are almost found exclusively in the church and are well known to those outside of the church. Not sure what they are? Well, then – today is your day. Together we can make sure that this herd of elephants won’t trample through our lives.

Elephant … What Elephant? You may have heard the phrase…there is an elephant in the room…which usually is referring to an obvious truth, situation, circumstance or reality that everyone is trying to ignore.
If we are not careful, we ignore so much that before we know it we are surrounded by a herd of elephants and they might just stampede.
This series goes where most are afraid to go, we are going to talk about the elephants in the room…and along the way discover some ways that we can live our best lives.
Today we explore the ginormous gray elephant and take a trip through the Gray Elephant Preserve to make sure these beasts stay where they belong.
