We live in a world that can easily be described as “upside down.” There are times that we all struggle with trying to understand what is happening around us. How is it possible to process what seems to be swirling out of control? Is there a way that we can turn the “upside down” upside down?
A lifehack is a strategy or technique that is used to make life better. We use them all the time, we may not call them lifehacks, but they are real. Often these lifehacks are counter-intuitive… in other words, on the surface they seem silly or even a bit impractical or outlandish – but they work. Sometimes as we read the Bible, we think, that sounds good but I just can’t do that – but when we try it, it works. In this Lifehack series, we take some bold strides to follow the example that Jesus gives us and along the way, make our lives better.
This series is built upon some of the most amazing verses in all of Scripture. You may or may not know that the Bible is the Amazon Kindle’s most highlighted book. The passage we are looking at is the most highlighted passage. Over the next few studies we will dig in and excavate 5 verses and discover 4 admonitions that lead to one wonderful gem of a promise.
It is the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas is loaded with moments and memories that can change your life forever. The struggle can be how to get it all – or find room to fit – it all in. There is so much to do but so little time. So, we keep lists… they keep us “on task – on purpose – and on time.”
It is Thanksgiving weekend. Hopefully this season has given you an opportunity to give thanks for all that God has done, is doing, and will be doing in your life. This morning we explore some reasons that we all have to be thankful. These gifts should make our lives fuller – inflate them if you will and give us a sense of excitement as we get ready to move into the Christmas season.
