From the Carpenter’s Shop, Jeff Dixon issues a simple but profound challenge: Try living out God’s will for you today. It’s found in three simple commands: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks.” Focusing on gratitude, Jeff explains how we can be thankful in our trials—not for them—by trusting in a God who works all things for our good. This isn’t just a nice idea; it’s a guaranteed way to see your day get a little bit better. Dare to try it.

by Church @ 434 | Apr 27, 2026 | This is So Heavy
When life’s pressure builds, our first instinct is to push harder and carry everything in silence. But what if the path to feeling lighter isn’t about gaining more strength, but about gaining more honesty?
This video challenges the “just keep going” mindset and offers a different invitation, inspired by scripture. If you’re caught in a loop of worry, disappointment, or fatigue, learn the surprisingly simple practice that can change everything: acknowledging the weight. This isn’t about solving every problem today; it’s about taking the first bold step to stop carrying them all by yourself.

Today we continue our visit into Sacred Space. We are discovering the bigness and majesty of God. We have ventured back in time and find ourselves in the Tabernacle. Last week we got caught up in the activity, the sights, the sounds, the smells, and the meaning of all that was happening in the outer court yard. Today we step out of the outer court into to the Holy Place. As we pull the tent flap open and step inside, with a soft rustling sound it closes behind us. This new space is quiet, a stark contrast of the noise just outside. There is a soft glow that illuminates everything around us. The source of that light is the lampstand. We get closer to it … we look… and what we see helps us to understand more about how we are to become the sacred space in the world around us. It should be fun and dare we say – illuminating! (See what we did there?) Get ready to experience Sacred Space once again.
