It is Sunday on a Thanksgiving weekend. This week has been one where people have traveled, connected with family and friends, eaten more than they should have, and hopefully spent some time giving “thanks.” The time at the table we experienced this week is a great way to move us into the Christmas season, but before we push away from the table too quickly – there is something else we need to do. This worship experience today gives us time to do just that.

Most of us think eternity is something that begins after we die. However, Jesus didn’t talk about eternity that way. Many might be startled to find out that Jesus defined eternal life only once – the words He used were clear and easy to understand, but for many they are often lost or ignored.
Could it be that salvation is not as much about getting you into heaven, as it is getting heaven into you? If it is, then get ready for the ride of your life! Eternal life that is!

We are called to touch and change the world with the love of Jesus. But let’s be honest – the world can be a frightening and tough place.
Although we have never been more educated, entertained, or connected – the world we see around is loaded with problems (and some of them are your own problems.) It is tough to touch and change anything when there is so much difficulty.
Hold on – maybe it is time to let the incredible power of God blow across the landscape of our lives and the world we live in. We can be a force of change in the world around us because of the hope He gives. His promises are bigger than any and every problem.
If you believe that truth – then you can find the freedom and joy of launching into the world – and changing it.
